The Weller Foundation Scholarships
The Weller Foundation, Incorporated provides annual scholarships and awards to full-time senior high school students who attend either Joel Barlow, Masuk, Newtown, Shelton, or Trumbull High School. These scholarships/awards are made possible by the generosity of its founder, Barton L. Weller.

| Weller Education Scholarship | The purpose of this $7,000 scholarship is to recognize and financially assist a student upon graduation who has chosen a course of study leading to a degree in teaching in a public or private elementary or secondary school. | |
| Louis J. LaCroce Medical Health/Sciences Scholarship | The purpose of this $7,000 scholarship is to encourage and financially assist a student upon graduation who had chosen a course of study leading to a degree in Medical/Health Sciences. This scholarship was renamed in 2020 to honor former Trustee, Louis J. LaCroce. | |
| Robert Swart Engineering Scholarship | The purpose of this $7,000 scholarship is to recognize and financially assist a student upon graduation who has chosen a course of study leading to a degree in engineering. This scholarship was renamed in 2018 to honor former Trustee, Robert Swart. | |
| Weller Computer Science/Technology Scholarship | The purpose of this $7,000 Scholarship is to encourage and financially assist a student upon graduation who has chosen a course of study leading to a degree in computer science. | |
| Vincent Voccia Vocational Award | The purpose of this award is to provide financial assistance to students planning a career in the skilled trades.
Each participating school will be eligible for one award recipient to receive a grant equal to the lesser of $4,000 or 50% of the cost of tuition and fees of the vocational-technical program proposed. |

| The Weller Excellence in Teaching Award | The Weller Excellence in Teaching Award* is presented annually to recognize the teaching quality and innovation exhibited by certified classroom teachers in grades kindergarten through five. This honor hopes to encourage the teaching excellence vital to our youth.
The award recipient will receive $1,000 and a Certificate of Honor. |
